www.straight-and-gentle.eu Puppies’ 1^st Month            Daily Newsletter Our little puppies have become real mini-dogs: their current weight has passed the 3 kilogram limit and their previously uniform head shape starts exhibiting individual details and one can really feel how they develop typical characteristics. They go sniffling all over the place and they try to eat everything that stays within their reach. However, when their ‘mum’ shows up, they forget everything and try to get to the nipples as fast as possible. Obviously, the bitches milk tastes better than all the other food stuff. However, Samtess is increasingly stressed, trying to avoid the puppies sucking whenever possible. We appreciate very much that our puppies are really calm for about 6 hours in a row every night and we are amazed to see that they are utilizing the sandbox in their playing area as a toilette. In case the weather is fine, the feeding happens in the garden area and they already understood that peeing there is more than permitted. Also Samtess likes the outdoor events and she has developed a new game: whilst the puppies try to follow her and to grab the nipples, she moves in a very tricky way to avoid that. Anyway, that’s a good training for both paties. Since a couple of days, the puppies have further developed their running techniques and they now move almost prerfectly. They even try jumping and they have great fun to fight each other. They have also begun to show interest in objects within their reeach - be it a toy, a brush, or a piece of wood. Among those activities, they have just teared down a rosemary bush, and some of them are proudly presenting a rosemary paniele in their mouth.
