www.straight-and-gentle.eu Puppies 1^st Week            On Tuesday night of the 4^th of October 2011, Samtess our pregnant bitch was supposed to sleep in a special litter box, installed in the living room. At about 3 o’clock in the morning, we heard a strange whimper coming from the upper floor and we knew all at once: the first puppy was born. We hurried upstairs and when we arrived we were faced with an unbelievable situation: Samtess was sitting upright on the dog sofa, holding the first-born puppy carefully in her muzzle and looking at us very brightly. At the same time, Bosco was sitting in front of the sofa, looking at the scenery rather confused and sounding off strange tones; he seemed to tell us his version of the event. The puppy was already carefully licked and the umbilical cord was correctly cut. Samtess had no objection that I took the puppy and that I took over responsibility; however, she observed thoroughly all my activities, whereby Bosco looked at the spectacle really interested in the background. Then we all moved downstairs to the litter box in the living room. At the end of the day, we had welcomed 3 ‘boys’ and 4 ‘girls’, all of them having a birth weight between 450 till 500 grams. Needless to say that we were really happy about the result of the first act of the drama. Click at the pics
