www.straight-and-gentle.eu THE STUDDOG ARNAC BAY WANTUCK Visiting Margunn Tvedten and Buddy (Arnac Bay Wantuck) End of February I have been in Norway to meet Margunn Tvedten and her studdog Buddy, that is Arnac Bay Wantuck. I were received with great hospitality and passed two days with Margunn and her dogs, thus having plenty of time to get acquainted with Buddy. Buddy is a wonderful individual of the Chessie race, a good hunting companion and at the same time a calm family dog. He is a nice brown Chessie, with thick bones and a strong body in good proportions and an excellent coat, very thick and short, and the head showing correct ears . Margunn has all her dogs in the house, living there also with a cat, and all dogs behave very well and they are pleased with cosy games at any time even by a foreign person like me. When we were outside Margunn did a bit of a training lesson and showed me how the bitches  and especially how Buddy worked in the thick and heavy snow area. He showed extreme concentration and a lot of will to please for his mistress. We can well imagine that the combination of Samtess and Arnac Bay Wantuck (Buddy) will lead to puppies exhibiting well balanced characteristics making them suitable for both demanding hunting and field trial work as well as for show events. In the evening Margunn told me the story, how Buddy won the 3^rd price in a hunting contest the fist day and the next day got the 1^st price in a hunting fieldtrial in Denmark.
